CHECKPOINT: Can Prevent a Fiasco

It is a time point planned to see the intermediary result and adjust the used approaches accordingly. Having a checkpoint without explicit knowledge of what to check is useless. {ECPM}

The number of checkpoints must be adequate for a project. As a rule, plan at least ten equally spread checkpoints during a project. A weekly checkup might be enough for a three-month project at the beginning. Increase the frequency if you feel that you need more communication. If a project is failing, plan at least ten checkpoints for the scheduled remainder of the project.
